Spanning at least 40.000 hectares, this park is an exceptional expanse of primary forest. There are countless variety of flora found here that couldn't be find in a lot of other parks since gaps caused by deforestation. Voyager will find an inconceivable wealth of flora and fauna in Corcovado. Birds variety number at least 400 and are followed by no less than one hundred diverse variety of amphibians. Mammal species also exceed the 100. A real extravagance of Corcovado is its residents of scarlet macaws. These gutturals birds aren't that hard to spot if you can distinguish their call. The spectacle of a pairs of scarlet macaws uphill above the canopy is a view that will indisputably leave you breathless. The pathway that twist through the park are extended and will take you through an remarkably rich tropical forest. Epiphytes and lianas flourish on the trunks and boughs of imposing trees. |
